Course prerequisites


•    Secondary degree, high school diploma (or equivalent)
•    Project management experience: five years
•    Leading and directing projects hours: 7500 hrs
•    Complete 35 hours of project management education/ 35 PDUs

•    Project management experience: three years
•    Leading and directing projects hours: 4500 hrs
•    Complete 35 hours of project management education/ 35 PDUs


To become a Certified Project Manager, you need to pass the PMP Certification Exam. This exam tests your knowledge and skills related to project initiation, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing the project.

It is the top project management certification, and it validates you have the specific skills and experience that employers seek. Many companies have made it mandatory for their Project Managers to get the PMP certification.

This exam consists of 200 MCQs that need to be answered in four hours. Out of 200 questions, 175 will be pretest questions that will not be scored.

In order to maintain the PMP certification, you must complete 60 professional development units (PDUs) in each three-year period.

It is valid for three years and the candidates can recertify it.
